Thursday 21st November, through Zoom, we welcomed Laura Pearce, renowned for her expertise in capturing the essence of her subjects, shared her knowledge and techniques with enthusiasm and patience.
With years of experience in the field, Laura guided us through a virtual tour showing us various aspects of her photography, including lighting, location and composition, posing and technique.
Laura covered a lot in the 2 hours and am sure we could have continued for longer. It is always inspirational to have a guest speaker that covers a different genre of photography that we are not that familiar with.
I am sure despite the cooling weather, the cameras will be out and about this coming weekend!
About Laura - It all started when… I was given a camera by my husband at a point in my life when the children had flown the nest and life was going nowhere. I had always had an interest in art but found that it never quite gave me the adrenaline rush I was after. And then photography found me and it became a passion. I love the way I can create images full of emotion that resonate with the viewer. My style is contemporary and modern and I like strong colours and contrast, but equally I adore the simple, classic tones of mono that always remain timeless.
