Macro Photography Competition Definition:

A Macro Photography Competition invites photographers to submit close-up images that reveal intricate details of small subjects often unseen by the naked eye. Eligible entries must showcase extreme magnification, typically at a 1:1 ratio or greater, capturing textures, patterns, or structures with high clarity and creativity. Subjects may include insects, plants, everyday objects, or abstract forms — provided they are photographed in a way that emphasizes fine detail and scale.

Judging will focus not only on technical excellence and composition but also on the originality and visual interest of the subject. Photographers are encouraged to select subjects that are unusual, striking, or thought-provoking — those that spark curiosity and highlight the unseen beauty of the miniature world.
